The South Eastern part of the United States has faced marginal flooding and has recovered or continues to recover relatively quickly and easily compared to India and its recent floodings in the state of Bihar. This flood has caused chaos and catastrophy like that of Hurricane Katrina did to the United States.

New Delhi - More than two weeks after floodwaters inundated the impoverished lowlands of the Indian state of Bihar, untold numbers of residents remain perched upon their rooftops, still waiting for help to come.
